I watched Madras last weekend and it is one of the finest movies
that I watched in recent times. The movie had a good script and characters were
apt and the screenplay was so tight. Director Ranjith had done a wonderful job
in this movie. He worked on finer details and nuances and there is not a single
scene in the movie that comes as you think. Until the last scene, he keeps you
engaged. The actor Kalaiyarasan who acted as “Anbu” in the movie was very very
good. He fits the character like anything. He was so natural.
I felt very satisfied after watching this movie. Not sure why? But
it was very fulfilling to me. This is the best movie to Karthi after
Paruthiveeran. Paruthiveeran had a completely different genre than this. Karthi
had done a very good job in this movie. He was subtle and did his character
very well. The 15 mins after interval was terrific.
You need to watch it from the first scene to enjoy the movie else
you will not understand the details. I would VERY highly recommend this movie.
